Levon Kirkland is a former professional American football player who played as a linebacker in the NFL for 11 seasons. He was born on February 17, 1969 in Lamar, South Carolina.
Kirkland played college football at Clemson University and was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 1992 NFL Draft. He spent the majority of his career with the Steelers, where he was a key player on their defense and was selected to the Pro Bowl twice (1996, 1997).
During his career, Kirkland was known for his speed, strength, and aggressive playing style. He was also known for his leadership on and off the field, earning the respect of his teammates and coaches.
After retiring from the NFL, Kirkland has worked as a coach and football analyst. He has also been involved in various charitable and community initiatives, including his work with the Boys and Girls Club.
